Let's see. The NYT publishes a story that Uncle Sam is looking into bank records for terrorists using money. The GOP bigmouths (as opposed to those who are republicans who work for a living) are convinced that in doing so the NYT is either giving the baddies ammunition or telling them something about what Mr. Rumsfeld had for lunch.

Come on folks! Can they really believe that a pretty smart bunch of evildoers (and, give credit, they take their evildoing seriously) haven't already thought of that? Do they really think the baddies don't know they are being looked for in everything from bank deposits, to explosive procurement, to kidney disease treatments? (Hold it! They weren't aware of that? The med supply houses of Pakistan are being watched!) We'd better be careful or the NYT will tell the world about the intense monitoring of Arabic TV going on in suburban Detroit...
